Apple & blackcurrant oatmeal



1/2 cup oats
1 cup water
1/3 cup cashew/almond milk
1/2 apple
1-2 tsp Arctic blackcurrant powder
Dash of vanilla extract or powder
1 tsp brown rice syrup/maple syrup/honey


Combine the oats and water in a saucepan and cook over a low- medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Once the oats have absorbed most of the liquid, grate in the apple and add the nut milk. Stir everything together and continue to cook.

The porridge should gradually thicken and when you’re left with a really nice and creamy texture, mix in the berry powder, vanilla and natural sweetener of choice- you can use more of less of thus depending on your preferences.
Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and garnish with toppings of your choice.
