Hi there! How are you? Hope well and feeling energetic. We should say we are as well cause we just had a holiday. You might know how hard it is for entrepreneurs to have a holiday or even a day off. We are used to work all day everyday but that's because we love what we do. However, for this trip we decided to keep ourselves occupied with other stuff and we did pretty well. Only two of the mornings we dived through the emails.
Not sure if you've been to Barcelona before but we thought we'd underline a few bits about the city. As you probably know, we are huge London lovers but Barcelona definitely gets up to the top 5 cities on the fav-list. There was once an article about the high rent levels (ridiculous levels) in London and someone actually calculated that it would be cheaper to live in Barcelona and fly to London for work. Haha shall we do that? Well at least the sunshine, beach and cheap meals sound really attempting!
First of all, the biggest thank you for all of you who gave us tips about restaurants and cafes to visit. Obviously we didn't have time to visit them all but the once we did were absolutely to die for. That's the power of social media, eh? We are in love with the Arctic Power Berries community.
Okay enough chit-chatting, let's get started.
A place to underline (a place we visited every day) was Theresa's Juicery. 5.95e for a cold-pressed, organic juice or a smoothie is pretty reasonable. The vanilla cashew mylk was also a worth to try, and their bliss balls, energy bar... pretty much everything!
Another highlight was YOUR recommendation, a place called Flax and Kale. We spent the day rooftopping until we were soooo hungry that nearly gave up on the way looking for this place. It was definitely a worth of low sugar levels and hunger. The rooftop was the most beautiful ever, the edible garden was inspiring and after a long hesitation of what to eat (we nearly literally ordered the whole menu because of the hunger and difficulty to choose what to have) We ended up having an avo-kale salad, mini pizzas, Theresa's juicery carrot-ginger juice (of course) and finished off with slice of banana-chocolate cake with two strong espressos! No wine or Sangria this time! A huge recommendations for this place.
We also had some paella (you gotta if in Spain), tapas and a whole lotta Sangria. With sun kissed skin we left the place to fly back to London and Finland! Good times and yes, it does feel good to have a few days off without constantly reading the emails. Good to be back though, love you Berry Bunch xxxx
